Skate Dance Tips

Skate dance is really all about balance. A great way to get into skate dancing is to try to lift up one of your feet when you are doing a normal forward run of skating. The, lift up the other leg. Skating on one foot is a great way to build up to doing more complex, one-legged moved. Another easy thing to begin to try is turning. You can start this by just changing your angle and whirling round. Sounds easy? Then, now give it a go by adding in a small jump, so that you are facing forward one minute, and the next you are facing backwards. After you can accomplish this easily, the next step would be to combine one legged action with a turn. Remember to use your arms for balance, and don’t be afraid of putting them out in the air in order to keep yourself steady. Keep at it, and you’ll be skate dancing in no time!
